What do you do when you’ve done all you know to do? Where do you go when there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to go? How can you possibly see the light when darkness is all you know? If any of these questions apply to you, I believe I have an answer for you. You see the key is to get to a place where you can utilize and epitomize the notion of Hope. Hope is simply the belief that what you desire will come to pass.

If you feel stuck in any way shape or form do your best not to lose hope. Hope for progress, hope for innovation, hope for success, and hope for prosperity. Know that hope opens your eyes to unseen opportunities and sometimes unorthodox possibilities. Whether in the midst of a storm or not always strive to remain hopeful.

For as long as I can remember I have always had a knack for hopeful optimism. Seeing the brighter side of darkness has been a part of my character for a long time. Now I know that hope isn’t always so plentiful especially in the midst of darkness and chaos. However, I have come to realize that if you break down any situation there’s a test that must be overcome but also a lesson to be learnt. Having hope makes the undertaking of these tasks less turbulent than they may have normally been.

Hope during the Test

What is a test if not a means to measure progress. In life we are often tested and the progress that we make as individuals is put on display. Sometimes it’s for the benefit of others, but more importantly it’s God’s way of seeing if we are going to acknowledge his presence.

At times it may seem like things get so bad that there is no way it can get better. However, if you are a believer then you. The more hell you go through then the greater your blessing must be. For the enemy only fights you because he doesn’t have you. These moments are when our hopefulness truly comes into play. Believing that your blessing will eclipse your burden does well to see you make it through the test.

Some tests have a scheduled date meaning that we can see it coming on the horizon. This gives us time to prepare and logically speaking if you prepare then you can pass it. Preparation is simple, stay faithful; know that God is bigger than your circumstances and faith goes hand in hand with hope. Stay prayerful; I once heard it said that when believing gets hard the first thing you should do is pray. Finally, and most of all stay hopeful; walk with your heart lifted and head high as you hold on to the notion that everything will be okay.

For when these test arise, and you pass them you are then left with a testimony which is nothing more than testament to God’s favor, power, and love.

Know that hope helps you remember that the night is darkest just before dawn, and that you have to be torn down to be built up. Also, remember that even diamonds undergo pressure before their true worth shines through.

Hope during the Lesson

The cards laid out before you may see you in a pretty difficult, uncomfortable, and unfortunate situation. As discussed in post passed one prominent part of any situation is that there is a teachable moment. A point where you come to see the potential purpose of your particular predicament. These moments aren’t always grand and elaborate. Sometimes they’re subtle and indistinguishable.

Should you find yourself enveloped by hopefulness then you have a better chance to not only distinguish the lesson but also understand how it works out for your good or the good of someone else. Understand that if you find yourself lost without hope then you’ll likely miss the lesson as you are too consumed by the hand you have been dealt.

Let me ask you, when the storm rages on and believing becomes more and more difficult does that turn you away from God or towards him. Let your faith in God empower your hope that things will get better. For the hopeless often see things for what they are where the hopeful see things for what they can be.

On the onset of my loss, I found myself losing sight of what could be and getting overwhelmed by what was. Well one day I received a phone call from a person I honestly never thought I would have heard from. This one conversation all be it brief would restore my sense of hope. This in turn would go on to aid me in understanding the lesson in the loss. You see there was a shift that needed to be made for there is a job to be done and it was through this situation that that shift could happen.

If I can articulate it, I suffered because I had to. For my growth through this suffering is the key to someone else’s prosperity. Whose, I don’t know. I’ll let God decide.

In Closing

Having hope gives you courage. Having hope gives you confidence. Having hope gives you resolve. Most importantly hope gives you power. So, when life distributes tests, and you feel overwhelmed and anxious take a deep breath and reestablish your sense of hope. For with it comes faith, confidence, and optimism. Let your hope carry you where your feet cannot and uncover the lessons behind your storm. Know that with God all things are possible and from this point on you are hopeless no more. As always go forward and be blessed. You Got This!!!
