As setbacks set in a common question is why me. Why am I having to go through this? What if I told you that the reason behind your inconvenience is because you are more than what you ever thought you were. Most times our problems don’t seem like they can produce anything more than confusion chaos or pain. 

The answer to why you are going through this is you. You are at the center of every storm because pressure is one of the ways we grow. Though not always painful sometimes just persistent pressure conditions you for an increase. Life is not easy but life is also not totally unfair. 

As stated in the past when one thing ends another begins. Meaning there’s an exchange that happens. But the purpose of this exchange is to bring you to a new place. This is a process that sees different people reach different places at different times. As I often encourage do not try to measure your journey against someone else’s as their placement is personal as is yours. 

Placement

To help you understand how the answer to your question was in the question all along let’s break it down. You need to first take note of where you are. Not really physically although sometimes yes, but more so mentally emotionally and spiritually. Like any equation the placement of the variables is hyper important to reaching a solution to the problem. 

The same can be said about life. Your placement is pivotal to the solution and a lot of times we don’t even know that we are walking in the position for change. Maybe there’s something down the line that you are going to have to face yet you are none the wiser. Storms arise to condition you for what is to come. 

Most times you are not just suffering arbitrarily but it’s because you are you and God knows what is to come so he allows storms come to wash away what was to make room for what is soon to be. 

In a not-so-distant past I found myself dealing with some pretty heavy storms. During them I would often question why me why am I having to go through this. I do my best to live right and be a good person, then why were these things happening to me. 

Little did I know that I was in a position for growth. You see the purpose behind my suffering became more apparent later on as I had grown through that and was now in a place where I could speak with confidence and solidarity to help others with similar challenges that I had experienced before. What was essentially a learning experience for me became a teachable moment for others. 

Exchange

The more life gives the more it takes. Sometimes the exchange rate isn’t really favorable meaning we seemingly get less than what we gave. Other times it’s the exact opposite where one gives little but is given an abundant amount. I can’t tell you that if you do blank then you’ll get back blank. However, what I can say is that when something fades something else will take its place. 

The value behind it is up to the individual. To some depending on the situation and what was acquired in the exchange this new thing could be the greatest blessing no matter its apparent cumulative value. 

The point of these exchanges aren’t to make you happy, but rather to make you wealthy. And not just a monetary wealth which is more fleeting than people think. I speak of a personal wealth. Bringing you the individual to a place where your true value becomes clearer and clearer with every exchange. 

For a long time, I found myself in a situation that started out good but soon became uncomfortable and draining. I lived in this place for so long that I became accustomed to it. However, a little over two years ago when my life changed so too did my situation. On the onset I was bitter as I had nothing tangible to show. The more I studied my situation I began to see the true value of the exchange that had taken place. 

Where I was blinded by the lack of physical evidence, I had missed the actual prize. You see I didn’t exchange my torment and bondage for money and things but instead I exchanged it for freedom. I was free from that which had me bound for so long. Free move on, free to start over, but most importantly free to live. 

With my freedom came new opportunities but also new responsibilities. I am now in a position where I can share my wealth with others and help them get to a place where they can do the same.

You, you are more valuable and special than you ever thought you were. And these situations come to pressure you as pressure is one of the ways we grow.
