As time moves forward one thing is consistent throughout all of our lives. We get to a point where we outgrow where we are and must make our way to where we need to be. When what is familiar and what is routine start to weigh on you in whatever way shape or form then it’s time to transcend. When you get to a place where you are not growing rather you are just going through the motions then it’s time to transcend.
Understand that where we are today might not be where we will be tomorrow. Growth and progress set in when you are able to transcend that which has you pressed. To transcend means to move but more importantly elevate. Rise above so that what was once your ceiling now becomes your foothold. The wall you couldn’t see your way over soon becomes the foundation on which you build your future.
Walk with confidence but more importantly walk with faith. Know that to get where you want to be, takes dedication, drive, and patience. However, to get where you need to be, takes courage, humility, and trust. Trust in the fact that you may not have all the answers or necessary components, but you know success is still possible. Trust that God allows us to be under pressure so that we may shine in the end. Trust that you are able. I’m going to say that again. YOU are able to overcome, out maneuver, and move pass any and everything.
Transcending one place in effort to move onto another takes a few steps from us. We have to pack it, stack it, and move past it.
Pack It Up

When your hour of transcendence draws closer, and you begin to feel it necessary to make a change this is where you must start to pack. When I speak of packing, I am not talking about physical boxes and bins. Even though yes to transcend may see you need to move physical locations from time to time.
However, I refer to identifying and compiling your baggage. These are things like doubt, fear, anger, and sadness. These are things that happened or maybe didn’t happen. These are anchors that bind us to this space we’re in. In order to get over it we are going to have to make use of it first.
Instead of letting these things exist chaotically you are going to have to address them. Get to a place where you can make peace with that thing or situation and when it is done pack it up. Please excuse the naivety in my tone for I am well aware that this is not an easy thing to do. But please pay attention to the confidence in my voice as I know it is very possible to achieve.
For every accomplishment in my life came a threshold I had to transcend. Becoming a writer and publishing a book would see me the boy who struggled with reading and writing in his youth transcend those hurdles and get to the place I wanted to be. Starting my own company would see me have to transcend the notion of withholding my talent but getting to a place where I was comfortable to share it with the world. Starting my blog would be the culmination of the two.
I took time to address my baggage and as time went on, I began to pack it up. Believe me when I say that you truly are able to make it to that next level. Whatever that may look like for you.
Stack It Up

Once you address your baggage and have started packing up your next move is simply to stack it up. What I mean is utilize your new resolve and let every piece of baggage be a steppingstone to your next level. This is where you begin to not only see the progress you have made but also feel it too. Understanding that the very thing that once held you down is now the very thing holding you up.
Be comfortable in the notion that we are all human and that your steppingstones are not going to look like my stones or the next person. Your path to the top is unique as the baggage you stack may be similar to others but is uniquely designed for you.
The beauty in this however, is that you can still reach back and help others who may need some assistance. The ironic thing about stacking it is that it doesn’t put you out of reach but instead puts you in a prime location. You are not only within arm’s reach to some, but your visible elevation becomes a beacon of hope for those a little further away.
For me building the path to my next level has been the most impactful part of my journey thus far. Not only is it the notion of building the path by my design but it’s all the things that it has afforded me. Being on the journey up but still being able to help people is something that is very special to me. The cool thing is that I am able to utilize the baggage beneath my feet to help make others feel more secure in their own space. Being able to show people the power of hope not just with my words but with my climb is a blessing I never knew I needed.
Move Past It

After the daunting task of packing and stacking you have finally arrived at your new place for this season. Understand that today is not yesterday, and that tomorrow will not be today. What I mean is that once you get to your destination it’s time for you to move past the things of old. Let go of old baggage, habits, and frustrations. Give yourself as much room to develop and grow as you can.
Do your best not to let things that were get in the way of things that are to be. I’m not saying that these situations and emotions won’t get a return but for the moment at hand be at peace. The point to all of this is to be a little better than we were the day before. To do that we have to move past the old and prepare ourselves for the new.
Moving forward takes one prominent thing from us…effort. In return life then gives us new opportunities. Once you have transcended old thresholds, I encourage you to move forward with confidence and hope. Although you are leaving the past behind, I want to encourage you to move forward with the lessons you learned from the past and let them see you prosper in the present.
With the identity of tomorrow being a mystery yet solved I will continue to do my best in moving past what was as I make my way to what is to be. For the past has taught me that to love is to hurt but hurt because you love. You only truly fail when you stop trying. There’s power in prayer. And there’s restitution in hope.
In Closing
The space you occupy may be getting too small for your undefined and unmeasured potential. It’s time to transcend the threshold and ascend to that next stage of our journey. We have three very important things that go into this transition. First, we pack it which see you come to terms with that which holds you back and make peace with it so you can put it away. Next, we stack it which simply sees us utilize the newly resolved baggage as steppingstones to our next level. And finally, we move past it, letting go of what was to make way for what is to come. Be encouraged as this space doesn’t fit you because you were destined for more. As always go forward and be blessed. You Got This!!!
