For years now I found myself going to this one particular lake not far from where I live. This lake has been the stage of numerous enlightened breakthroughs as well as the resting place of a variety of insecurities. To me the water is symbolic. Not only is it the life bringer it is also the destroyer.

When I go to the water I am looking for one of two outcomes. First is a mental, emotional, and spiritual baptism. A renewal unlike any other. The second is a Great Flood. A purge of all that is negative or unwanted in my soul.

To me down by the water is where I am able to hear my Heavenly Father’s voice as it echos in the wind. A serenity like nothing I have felt before. The water is honest and clear. It echoes my state of being and therefore gives me a tangable source of stimulation. I want to encourage others to keep going and to never lose hope. Strive to be better than you were yesterday.

So if you need me chances are that you can find me down by the water.
